De- clutter the home, and put away all family and personal photos.
Clean and organize anywhere a Buyer may look - surfaces, closets, and cabinets. Be sure the kitchen and bathrooms are squeaky clean. The kitchen is key, so make sure it is spotless, that the kitchen surfaces are clean with all kitchen utensils removed such as dish washing liquid, sink brushes, pots and pans.
Leave all the lights on in the property, open the drapes or plantation shutters, let the sun shine in to welcome your potential Buyer.
Consider doing your own home inspection so that you can fix all the small items and be aware of any major issues that might come up from the Buyer's inspection such as roof leaks, mold issues and other deal breakers. It's best to have knowledge of problems before you put the property up for sale.
